Thanks for all the useful thoughts. I am a windows expert trying to convert to Linux – red hat CentOS and I love the interface. I got as far as installing WINE and running the little windows programs like WineMine.exe

I only ablosutely need one or two programs (that I wrote) and I will be out from under the wings of Bill Gates.

One program is a financial program I wrote to handle my finances in 3 different currencies. It uses an MS access database to store info. Is Wine my best option?
