Don’t forget this is a BETA release and as such, shouldn’t be considered stable. You’ve been warned!
If you’re running plain vanilla Ubuntu, simply use this command:
gksu “update-manager -c -d”
If you’d prefer to do it through Apt, then use this:
sudo sed -e ’s/\sdapper/ edgy/g’ -i /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Then to make sure everything works
sudo apt-get -f install
sudo dpkg –configure -a
Or, go to the Official Upgrades website for other ways to do it!
I’ve got it finishing up right now on a server on which I decided to do a clean install. The latest beta Automatix is currently setting up various codecs and 3rd party bits and pieces. I’ll have more thoughts on Eft early next week.
geek out.
