Internet Explorer 7 will only allow you to run two downloads at the same time. For folks with fast connections and lots of disk space, this can be annoying.  Here’s a Vista registry hack to get around this.
First, go to your Start
pebble and click it. In the search box, type:
regedit
Hit enter to launch the registry editor. Once you have this up, find the following key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
Now, you’ll need to create two new keys. Right click in the empty space on the right and choose New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value.
Name the first MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server. (Note, that’s a zero, not an ‘o’). Once this is created, double click it and enter the Decimal Value of 3. This will allow 3 simultaneous downloads. You can set it to what you like.
Now create a second DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it MaxConnectionsPerServer.
Again, double click this and set the Decimal Value to the same as the first key (3 in this example).
Restart Internet Explorer if you have it open and you should be able to download more than 2 files at once. If you have trouble, simply set the values to 2.
