I’ve had Flip Video now for just about a week and I have to tell you that I haven’t been able to use it for the past three days.
Not through any fault of the unit itself but because my wife has it and wont give it back! I’m told I’ll be able to see my neat little DVR on the weekends, and possibly late at night if I can can stay awake longer than her.
In all seriousness, this thing is seriously fun. We’re still using the two AA batteries that came with the unit. We’ve recorded a bit over an hours worth of video with it and probably logged an additional four hours watching them on the LCD display or simply mucking about with Flip Video.
The software is very intuitive and very useful. It’s not just easy, it’s effective and fun too. Several friends and co-workers are running off to Amazon.com to purchase one for themselves after impromptu demos by myself or my wife.
I don’t get anything from Pure Digital for saying this or pushing their products but I can easily say that you’ll want to pick one of these up if you’re looking for an inexpensive and easy to use digital camcorder. It’s one of the few products I’ve used in the past few months that exceeded my expectations.

Many many positive reviews for this thing. I’ve gotta get one. Your review looks good, I think its the longest one I’ve come across yet. Time to read it..

I have four Flip Videos for the bands. Two of them have the error message, “Device Not Recognized”. Windows SP Home Edition. Where can I download the update for these cams??

WELL, AN very cool model and totally handy. Like to use anywhere I may be. The Flip videos are amazing. Ooh ! so said TONY BLACKMON you have error message but don’t worry I will return to the post with your DEVICE RECOGNIZED search able answer. Windows SP Home Edition is the best one which very rarely cause error.Have patients …………..
