You can now buy IBM products in Second Life

Talk about it in our Forums

ibm-logo.gifwa.jpgIBM has opened up a new sales presence in Second Life.  Not only will you be able to purchase stuff – up to the point of exchanging funds where you’ll be offloaded to an IBM website, but you’ll also get access to IBM’s documentation, including their semi-famous Redbooks.

You can teleport via Slurl to the IBM Business Center or just wander around Second Life until you bump into it.

Just the other day I was looking to buy a laptop computer table for the refurbished laptop computer in my home but I’m noticing that I can get significantly cheaper prices online instead of making the trip to the local electronics store, in many cases 50%-70% cheaper. The only bad part is that I have to wait a few days to get it delivered.
