Over the last weekend I had the opportunity to attend the 6th Annual American Gerbil Society Show. It was standing room only as we paid our $1 admission fee and waltzed into the glow of rodent aficionados and their furry compatriots.
Among other events at the show were the Gerbil Olympics (not currently sanctioned as an official olympic event) which featured contests in chewing and in moving plastic balls approximately their own body weight around miniature train tracks.
Fortunately I brought my camcorder (see here to win one of these yourself) and was able to capture some footage of this as of yet undiscovered sport.
Betting was fierce, at one point a squabble broke out over the exchange of several Yu Gi Oh cards when Sparkles turned out to be not a gerbil, but an underweight hamster substituted at the last moment. Fortunately the event was well handled and no gerbils were hurt.
United Press Int’l has this to report:
“We like to think of the females as figure skaters and the males as quarterbacks,” judge Amy Paben said.

LOL!
That was my reaction too. But being there, seeing the beauty of gerbils in action, pushing their little palpitating hearts out while moving huge plastic balls around a track. (sniffle). Really, nothing quite compares.

I love the video of the gerbil olympics. I am also a member of the AGS that ran the event. Is it possible that you can send me copies of the videos you took for the AGS archives?

Hey Gerbilgal – right now I’ve only got that one 3 minute segment online. Send me an email (please use the contact form in the upper left of the site) and we can work out how to get the videos too you. I’ve got two races from the Olympics and some random crowd/chinchilla footage.
I’d be happy to pass it on too you.

I am looking for a professional sports betting service and can’t make up my mind. There are so many services to choose from. I am kind of leaning towards this guy after seeing his video on sports picks. He claims a 97% success rate which I find hard to believe, I would be happy with a 60% success rate. Anyway, it’s supported by a clickbank guarantee. I have bought products through clickbank before and I can trust them. I was just wondering what other people thought about these kinds of products?

You post certainly was one of the ideal points of my Saturday. I was on Bing searching for something entirely unrelated when your title captured my interest. I sure am glad I spent the time to read your post! Feel free read my sports articles if you get some free time!

They get their lines from all the people that work there. They calculate the odds with formulas and when they are sure they have done it right they put the odds.
