Hey, found your site by accident doing a search on Bing but I'll definitely be coming back. As for your post... I agree with a lot of what you're saying here but wouldn't it be just as easy to figure out another way to go about it? I mean why mess with your quality of life if you don't have to?

1)Quote arsgeek "shove it gently into this hole." - That's what she said))
2) faith - the play/pause button is the on button. just hold it for a while
3) curt - if it is blinking green, then it is playing. Change headphones. turn the volume up. If it is not helping, try shoving the paperclip in.

Hi Sandra,

You've got a few options. If simply turning it off and back on again doesn't work, there's a smallish hole near the random select slider. Grab a paperclip and shove it gently into this hole. That will reset the Zen.

Your article was informative, but you left out a crucial part. There's a 'balloon' in the toolbar which has to be clicked before the usb device can be removed. It asks what it is and then declares it safe to remove it.

I love mine :)
