Dear “Tim”:
To disable that annoying Wanda, press alt and f2 together to open up run app, and then type “pkill gnome-pane” Minus quotation marks of course, and that should clear it up.

Here’s another easter egg. In a terminal, type:

zenity –about

Now, with Zenity’s “About” dialog focused, type:

zen

A new window will open, containing a wee guy with fashion accessories to drag n’ dress :^)

Tim,

Fire up the terminal and do “killall gnome-panel” and Wanda should disappear.

You’ll have to run this command to disable the fish, which will restart your gnome panels, but not your applications.

killall gnome-panel

Doesn’t seem to be an off switch, and it doesn’t run as a separate process either.

Okay smarty pants… how do you DISABLE Wanda once she starts swimming around? I can click on her and she’ll shoot off-screen, only to return a while later. She’s fun but I need to put her to bed without having to shut down GNOME. Or do I?
