I’ve been following the developments of the Neuros OSD with lots of interest.
It’s a sleek looking, Linux driven system that allows you to:
- Record Live TV and Movies to enjoy anytime, anywhere. With no fees, no hassle!
- Play media content on TV, PC, and popular portables (iPod, phones, PSP, etc.!)
- Stream Watch YouTube, PC and downloaded content on your TV (This is a new feature!)
- Share Digitize home movies to share with friends and family.
This box looks, in short, like a hell of a lot of fun. It’s not only feature rich, but would look very smart in a living room or den as well, unlike the white-box PVRs I’ve seen at friends homes. The addition of YouTube content is a big win for the Neuros.
You can buy it now for $239.99. It’s already a full feature PVR with lots of new stuff coming down the line via downloadable firmware upgrades.
