Microsoft Photosynth and NASA’s shuttle from every which way

Microsoft is showing of their photosynth tools by allowing plain old humans like you and me (provided we’re running XP or Vista) to look at the Shuttle Endeavour from just about any angle you could get a camera into. And not just the shuttle, but he transport vehicle, the build shack and the surrounding area as well. I’ve got to admit this is pretty neat.

From their site:“With Photosynth, we take pictures of an environment and knit them together into an experience that people can move through like a 3-D video game,” said Blaise Aguera y Arcas, architect at Microsoft Live Labs. “NASA provided us with some outstanding images and the result is an experience that will wow anyone wanting to get a closer look at the Endeavour and its travels.”
