crowd.jpgHave you been grasping the edge of your desk in anticipation of Web 3.0? Is Web 2.0 already so boring to you that you cry whenever you visit sites like Digg or Reddit because they’re just so. . . 2006?

Well wait no more, because Jason at Calicanis.com has your Web 3.0 definition for you.

Web 3.0 is defined as the creation of high-quality content and services produced by gifted individuals using Web 2.0 technology as an enabling platform.

There you go. If you’re not a gifted individual, it looks like you’ll have no part in the Web 3.0 movement, other than as a mere consumer. According to Jason, Web 3.0 leverages all of the Web 2.0 functionality but integrates a level of human expertise on top of it. So it’s like Web 1.0, but the humans are experts. Or gifted. Or if you’re really, really lucky, both?

So Web 3.0 will be people, making web pages, that make themselves through the interaction of other people, and then have more people check them to make sure they’re people friendly and accurate.

Come on people? This is Web 3.0?
