How to fix no sound with Flash/Firefox in Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy

Linux, Ubuntu, howto

Talk about it in our Forums

flash.jpgWhen I first updated to Gutsy, everything was working like a charm.  Then one day flash videos no longer played with sound.  I cast about for a bit trying to figure out what exactly happened.

Finally I stumbled on Paulbetts.org - and a solution.

Simply download this .deb file and install it.  Restart Firefox (or your FF based browser, like Flock) and sound should be back.  Not sure how to install .deb files?  Just double click on it and Ubuntu will do the rest.
