To be honest, 9 was so bad I didn’t make it through the last few chapters. All the interesting parts of the story stop at book 6 and we get this long drawn out “As the Wheel Turns” afternoon soap-opera. It’s terrible. I mean, unless you like soaps I guess.
That’s what they could do, squish 1-6 down to a good trilogy, play the events of 7-10 in a 4 season soap opera on NBC (they have television rights), and then do 11-13 back in the movies.

Seriously, if they do that, they’ll end up with what happened to Lord of the Rings (A decent movie, but for those who read it, not quite enough).
I’ve said before, but part of what makes WoT great will be missed in a transition to movie form.
I hope you have reached 11, though. If you can force yourself through Egwene’s booooooooring viewpoint in book 7, it gets better and book 11 is amazing!

I got up to 6, bought 7 and made it about half way through and just started losing interest. I think the first 4 were amazing. After that it got slower and slower. That being said, they’d have to do some major changes for this series for film – my guess is rather than having 10 movies, they’ll shoot for 3 or 4.

Wow. I know I am in the minority here, but I actually liked 7 – 10…It was 5 and 6 that I struggled thru, and that was only the first time, the second and third and fourth times through, once I knew what would happen in the future, the stuf in them made sense and I enjoyed them all.

Wait, you don’t like 7-10? That’s wierd. I know the later books were…slower…than usual, but how can you expect to get the story if you block out the ending?!?!
