It’s Friday!  The world is poised on the edge of a weekend and it’s time for some pretty cool deals. The biggest one is from the folks at Valve, but also save on games and music this morning from Amazon.

To start us off, New Egg is having a buy a game | get free shipping deal.  The games are for all consoles and PC, pretty much everything New Egg has to offer, plus some good deals on OSes and productivity software.

Staying with the gaming theme, Amazon has a couple of gaming deals today.  Condemned 2: Bloodshot for the PS3 has dropped down to $19.99 at Amazon.  That’s $20 off retail, with free shipping if you buy $5.01 of additional stuff.  If you get this game, you can use a variety of weapons, including something called an “oozie”.

Also for the PS3 is Gran Turismo 5 Prolouge.  Fast cars, fast console, you’ll have to supply your own male or female model depending on your tastes.  71 cars to drive, online competition and gorgeous looking graphics.

Departing a moment from video game mahem but staying with the rainforest theme, Amazon also has The Hold Steady’s album Stay Positive, released just a month ago, for $1.99 as a digital download.

Now on to possibly the coolest deal all week.  Valve surprised a lot of people by announcing that if you pre-order the game Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway using Steam, you’ll get a free, gratis, totally uncostly copy of Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30.   Here’s the official announcement from Valve.  You’ve got to ‘pre-purchase’ BiA:HH before it’s released to qualify, obviously.  Even cooler is this: when you ‘pre-purchase’ (I love that) this game, you’ll immediatly be able to download Road to Hill 30.  No waiting to receive both games, buy one game for late September, get one now. Way to go Valve!
