Oh sweet irony. Those metal dudes who once cried fowl (or was it foul?) over free MP3 downloads are now offering a ton of live shows for. . . free! Plus HDTV/Xbox 360 deals, the Counting Crows on the cheap and your first crack at the Force Unleashed.
LiveMetallica is offering a ton of shows in MP3 format for you to download - sort of the Greatful Dead bootleg experience for the modern age. Shows range from a 1982 show in Cali to Orlando in 2003. The one catch is you have to sign up for an account and presumably submit yourself to Metalspam of some nature.
Apple is offering refurbed iPod Touches for $100 off, which in my humble opinion is so worth it! Also see some refurb deals on classic iPods there as well.
Get the Counting Crows August and Everything After from the ‘Zon as a digital download for $2.99.
Now on to the video games. First, God of War: Chains of Olympus for the PSP is six bucks cheaper than normal at $33.99, with free shipping
Next up is the official pre-order for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for every modern platform known to man except the PC. Prices range from $59.99 to $34.99 depending, with a price guarantee and free shipping.
If you’re looking to jump right into the high-def game, Amazon’s also offering $150 off when you buy an already on sale Samsung 40″ 1040p LCD TV with an Xbox 360 system. The TV itself is $1073.84, which is about $325 less than normal. Add an Xbox 360 60GB for $350 and you’re at $1423. Subtract $150 and $1273 is how much you’ll spend. Still cheaper than just the TV itself at normal price and I did all that in my head.
If you’re looking to get into Too Human as soon as it drops, check out Buy.com and the pre-order special they have. Get the game for $51.99 plus free shipping and also get exlusive access to a bunch of free armor sets.
And that’s Monday’s deals.
