Just another day that is, if you’re playing Blood Bowl! I was a huge fan of the tabletop game by GDW when I was in college. We had a whole tourney going with a ladder leading to playoffs and weekly team reports. We even created an in house buy system so winning teams earned money towards better players and more skills.
A while back I remember hearing rumors that BB was coming to a computer and/or console near you. Now it looks like it’s a lot closer! Check out this teaser trailer and the screenshots below.

You might note that there already has been a Blood Bowl game… back in 1995.

Okay, hte graphics aren’t quite up to modern standards, but it’s a good adaptation of the board game and quite playable. The only real problem is that after one-two seasons of campaign play you usually have enough to hire all the star players available, which allows your team to crush your enemies underfoot rather easily. If you take the long view, you’ll try to kill enemy players rather than bothering to play the game, and after a few matches opposing teams might only have a couple of live players left…

Well look at that! I think I did know about that at one point in my life but I had totally forgotten about it until 10 seconds ago.
Nice! I’m downloading dosbox for Ubuntu right now to give this puppy a whirl.

It is on my DosBox on my laptop as we speak. I Just LOVE that game. I CANNOT wait for the updated version (Though I hope it uses the new edition rules where plays gain experience, that would be ROCKIN!

There are some interesting time limits on this article however I don’t know if I see all of them heart to heart. There’s some validity however I’ll take hold opinion till I look into it further. Good article , thanks and we want more! Added to FeedBurner as nicely
