Free Team Fortress 2 (for the weekend), lots and lots of movies for lots of money off, Harvest Moon PSP style and some tunes for $5. That’s what goes into this Friday’s deals.
Let’s start off with the biggie – no pun intended. Valve is offering anyone a free weekend of TF2 for installing (or already having installed) Steam on their system. Nefarious plan to take over the internet through omnipresent games distribution systems? Who cares! It’s a free weekend of TF2! Plus the Sandvich – He’ll satisfy your hunger. . . for revenge! That’s right, a big heavy update for TF2 as well.
Of note, Amazon continues on with their Family DVD sale and their up to 50% off Blu-Ray
sale. Definitely worth a look in both instances.
Five albums as DRM free digital downloads are sitting on the ‘Zon waiting for you to grab them. Weezer, the Beach Boys, the Beastie Boys, Fleet Foxes and Pink Martini. These deals and more at the link.
Harvest Moon Boy & Girl is now 19.99 for the PSP. While not for everyone, the Harvest Moon series is much loved by it’s core fans. And people who like to farm. On computers.
Two other links of note. Amazon has set up a Role Playing Game shop (video games( where you can get some deals. Although the first title they feature is My Secret World which appears to be about and for pre-teen girls. What the hell kind of role playing they are promoting, I don’t know. Ther’es also a guide to the Ultimate HD Setup
which, for the mere pittance of about $12,200 you can have the very best of the very best (monster calbes not withstanding) for your home entertainment setup. Nice.

This is akin to the Schrödinger’s cat thought experiment where the principal idea is that the observer influences the outcome of the experiment.
