Facebook continues to define social networking through its über creative forays into boxes, fans, and feeds. Their latest foray is called Fan Box. And, since becoming a fan is a pretty popular thing to do on Facebook, they’ve just made it easier.
Facebook Fan Box allows website owners to add a Facebook widget to their website that allows users to become a fan of that site. It also allows those users to check out what’s going on with other fans of the site, find out how many fans there are, and keep up with the Facebook activity related to the site.
Fan Box essentially introduces the excitement of Facebook right into the very frames of your own website. It’s a great marketing trick that will help mere site visitors become site fans, thus keeping aware of everything happening on the site.
According to Facebook’s developer site, it takes only a couple of minutes and a few lines of Java script to get the Fan Box on your own site. Fan Box features includes getting a real-time update of how many Facebook users have already become fans of the site, find out which of your friends are fans, check out website posts, and (thanks to Facebook Connect) become a fan with a single click.
So far, several major sites have implemented the Fan Box into their site, like Coca-Cola, ABC News, Blackberry, and others. According to one social networking reviewer, “it’s yet another tool for blogs and website owners to capitalize on the massive reach of the social network.”

Hi Admin,
I am Dorothy Parker. I have visited your website and I would like to congratulate you on building such a valuable online resource. I am sure your visitors find your site as useful as I did.
My site also has relevant information in the same context, which I am sure your visitors will really appreciate. It would be great if we exchange links with each other. It would boost your search engine rankings, as relevant inbound links is the most important criteria for ranking on most search engines. It would also help bring targeted traffic to your site and reach out to a valuable, relevant audience.
So, I think it would be beneficial for both of us if we will join in a community and become link partners to each other which will help your blog/site in getting more Google values. If you are interested then please contact me at my email-id.
Have a great day.
Thanks and regards

Yeah I’ve been using this on a few of my sites and it does seem to help attract more visitors. Facebook is so huge and since it’s setup to where if someone becomes a fan of something their whole friend’s list sees it, it’s almost impossible not to bring in at least some traffic. The key of course is to have good content that people want to share with their friends.
