Comic Book Costumes Can Work

Before comic books were cool they were shoved into hallway lockers along with other nerdy counterparts like Dungeons and Dragons and computers. In 2009 you would have to be some kind of social outcast if you were into Lord of the Rings, Batman and the internet, right? Well back when we were all ashamed to [...]

Internet Surfing Increases Workplace Productivity…EUREKA!!

Around the time of March Madness, nearly every year an article is created about how much money is lost due to fans watching the tournament. With internet browsing, there’s even more articles based around money lost due to leisurely browsing. I could post an entire artile linking to connections between financing, and internet browsing. Now, [...]

Will OnLive Be The Next Phase Of Video Gaming?

As I keep reading about OnLive, and watch videos of it in action I think back to a very insightful quote: "No matter what the level of your ability, you have more potential than you can ever develop in a lifetime.” - James T Mccay

What’s The Future Of Hulu, And Other Online Media Outlets?

Imagine, if you will a world where every form of media as we know is accessible (legally), free, by means of the internet. It's not a stretch to imagine, mostly because almost every form of media we know is available via internet. Welcome to the future. Granted, the landscape for game playing, television watching, hasn't quite 'caught up' in terms of selection and quality, compared to traditional media. Just give it time.

The History Of Star Wars Video Games

Star Wars has ruled the entertainment galaxy for what seems like forever. Since I've been alive, Star Wars has always been around in some shape or form. Whether it's books, bed sheets, holiday musicals it seems like Star Wars will always be a part of my life. Nothing has really come close to capturing the magic of the original trilogy, but one form of media that has come close is in video games.

1.4-Pound Sony Vaio Wows

Trust Sony to bringing new meaning to the word “ultraportable.” This week it launched the Vaio, a computer that runs Windows Vista and has an eight-inch screen, but weighs a good deal less than two pounds and can run for up to four or eight hours (depending on whether users stick with the standard battery [...]

Robot Wife Assures That This Geek Will Never Be Lonely

You can chalk up today’s news as perhaps rumor, but there’s plenty of evidence to substantiate the story. I knew that this day would eventually come, I just didn’t think it would be so soon. Someone has officially created the first robot wife, according to Sun.co.uk. Le Trung is the inventor of his robot wife, [...]

What the McG is Happening to My Electronic Murderer?

It is my belief that there are two kinds of Terminator fans. There are the kind that enjoyed the first three films, and eagerly await the next episode of the Sarah Connor Chronicles, and there are those who love the first two, thought the third one was somewhere between bad and mildly decent, and are not very interested in either the Sarah Connor Chronicles or the upcoming Terminator: Salvation. If you fall into a different category, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Early (Before) Holiday Deals on Electronics

As the economy progresses on its downward spiral (hopefully to soon recover), and with the holidays quickly approaching, there are some great deals already available.  Stores don't want to hold onto an excess of products, so the goal this year is get it gone.  For some of them you have to be a haggling/negotiating type of person, others you can walk in and find great deals, and some you simply visit your favorite website and find the perfect price for what you want...

Hackers, Hacking, Hacks

The art of hacking in a technological world is generally a negative thing. To hack into something, usually means a breach in security and some form of data altered. However, hacking, and being particularly skilled at it, can pay off – if the skills are used appropriately.

Well, after 24 hours of being down AG is finally back up and functioning.  Weee!  all of the stuff I had ready to go today will have to wait, as I've just run out of time with a sick little girl at home. So tomorrow, we'll finally be back up to speed!

How EA and Spore are causing piracy, the DasmX86Dll issues, removing SecuRom and some great DRM free alternatives

Speaking of SecuRom - I'm not quite sure why software companies continue to insist that DRM of this type (or any type) is worth it.  I wonder how much money EA stuck into this?  The game was available on the torrents before it's official launch and yet here's EA and far to many other companies shoveling money down the DRM hole. And it's doubly a problem because of their refusal to see this as an issue.  If the game sells well, EA says "See! DRM isn't that big a deal, people don't care and we're still selling games."  If the game's sales are hurt by DRM they fall back on "Pirates are killing our bottom line!"  Seriously?  Games will get pirated, sure.  But you're much more likely to sell copies if they're not crippled in the first place by software that does nothing to stop the pirates and everything to annoy legitimate users.

My Spore creations – let me show you them

Yes, everyone and their brother's sisters's uncle are playing, reviewing and yawping about the DRM (which does suck) in Spore. I've been busy making things though.  You can check them out to the right ----> down there somewhere or look in this post for a flash widget which sometimes crashes my browser in Ubuntu (sigh).
