Vonage… I liked you. I just didn’t *like* you like you

I don't know if anyone has ever signed up for Vonage- If not... don't. It took me three solid months to break up with them. Have you ever been in the relationship that won't end? You don't like them... but you don't exactly hate them either. You begin wanting to break things off. You have another device, a cell phone that you prefer... you rarely use the land line, and you really don't want the land line. It's old, spent, a has been. It has really done anything horrible to you- but it's obsolete.

ArsGeek reviews the LaCie Hard Disk designed by Neil Poulton

18. December 2007

I’ve got to admit, when I think external hard drives it’s hard for me to get very excited. Unless you’re talking huge storage space or minuscule casings then there’s usually not a lot to say except ‘external hard drive’. These devices are becoming more ubiquitous as time goes on as well. They’re [...]

Neuros OSD

9. December 2007

I remember the time prior to receiving the Neuros OSD. I would watch DVD’s on my television set and either shrug as it ended or I’d mentally add them to a growing list of films I wish were readily available for purchase. I never realized what a primal life I had lived. Recording films, television shows, [...]

A little over a week ago I received my Zonbu Notebook. Since reviewing their tiny, silent desktop replacement computer I’ve been interested in Zonbu and their business model. Could they really pull of the subscription model with inexpensive computers? I’ve long held that in the next ten to fifteen years the [...]

The iRizer by Matias is an exceedingly simple yet wonderfully useful laptop stand that debuted a few days ago. It’s built in a nice two piece design that sets up in about 10 seconds, has a variety of positions available and best of all, when the two pieces are seperated the thing flattens to [...]

I recently had the chance to experiment with Wi-Ex’s zBoost zPersonal Cell Zone Extender, provided by RepeaterStore. What does all that stuff mean? Essentially Wi-Ex is marketing a product for home users to allow them to get an extra bar or two out of their cell phones. At first blush this may not seem [...]

ArsGeek Reviews the Hulk 200-300mW Green Laser from Dragonlasers

6. November 2007

I’ve reviewed a few lasers here at ArsGeek previous to the Hulk. Both of them had been green and both relatively mean. They’d fallen in the 95mW range and proved to be a lot of fun. They’re about the size of a large pen and handy to keep in your pocket to [...]

ArsGeek reviews the Neuros OSD

The first two observations I made when I opened my Neuros OSD were that the unit was a lot smaller than I was expecting (about five and a half inches by five and a half inches in size) and that it looked nice. This was no flat looking boxy apparatus, nor was it a [...]
